On the west coast of Turkey on the Aegean Sea, we find Oludeniz, a small village in Mugla province, which is considered to be one of the best beaches in the world. It is a vast beach with amazing landscapes and surrounded by mountains in a priviledged area.

The water is torquoise in colour and has two clearly defined areas: the beach on the sea and the Blue Lagoon which is linked to the former by a narrow passage between green mountains and where you marvel at the presence of ducks and geese swimming freely.
To get there you need to pay a 10-euro ticket, since the whole area is like a great enclosed park and there are also good restaurants and toilet facilities, so that you do not need to go out during your visit.

Here you will find luxury hotels as well as smaller ones, hostels, apartments and authentic Turkish

The area has excellent restaurants and pubs where you will have an opportunity to taste typical Turkish food.
A few kilometres away, Calis beach offers a boat hire service to allow you to spend a great time, though nature is not as exuberant as in Oludeniz.
This place is favourite for paragliding and you can also see good historical monuments or the ruins of Telméssos in Fethive.

Turkey has big airports like the ones in Istambul and Ankara and there is also an excellent bus service to connect with Olu Deniz. As in most beaches in Turkey, there is temperate climate with cold wet winters and hot dry summers between May and August.

Hateruma is the southernmost inhabited island and part of the Yaeyama island group, not far from Taiwan. From there, 84 of the 88 constellations can be seen and that's why the place is a famous astronomical observation center.

The island life is simple and rustic, there are not any tour groups or large hotels, just a village in the center of the island. Most buildings are wooden, and it is remarkable how they are painted in bright and different colors. This beach is lovely to visit, given its abundant and lush orchids, roses and other flowers adorning this fantastic Japanese island that surely ranks among the best beaches in Japan. Nishi's beach, with palm trees surrounding the coast, is probably the most beautiful beach in Japan. At this beach, diving and snorkeling are truly an outstanding experience.

Langkawi is the collective name for an archipelago of about 100 islands in the Andaman Sea, near the north coast of Malaysia. The name Langkawi is sometimes translated as “Eagles´ land” and sometimes as “ Land of Legends”, among which the most famous legend is that of a beautiful woman called Mahshiri who was unfairly accused of adultery and shed white blood at execution, thus cursing the island for seven generations.

Only two of these 100 islands are inhabited: Pulau Langkawi and Pulau Tuba, which are rocky mountaineous islands with abundant jungle and coves of white sand and green water, which deserve a place among the best beaches in Asia.
After being appointed a tax-free zone, the island has gone through a frenetic tourist development, welcoming more than 2 million tourist a year.

Langkawi offers a vast net of accommodation that gives its visitors the comfort and excellence of the best hotels in the world.

Diving and snorkelling are the favourite activities in Langkawi, and the best place for practising these is Pulau Payar Marine Park. If you are passionate in love with trekking, we recommend you to explore the centre of the island, which offers a dense jungle with more than 200 bird species that will escort your ride.
To get the best views, you can climb to the top of Gunung Mat Cinang. And if you are interested in the island´s legends, you cannot miss the Legend Lankawi Dalan Taman theme Park in Kuah, displaying sculptures depicting such legends. You can also visit the crocodile reserve called Crocodile Adventure, housing more than 1500 specimens.
And if you love waterfalls, you must visit the Seven Pools, with waterfalls of up to 90 metres, which form beautiful water pools where you can enjoy relaxing baths.

You can get there by ferry from Penang and from the south of Thailand, or fly from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Japan.

In the North of Philippines, between the China Sea and the Sulu Sea, is Palawan Island, with almost 2000 km of irregular coast endowed with 1780 islets, rocky coves and coral reefs. An important mountain chain goes down the spine of this land full of vast areas of dense tropical jungle which result in unparalleled beautiful landscapes.

Inside this tropical jungle we find a striking variety of native flora and fauna such as monkeys, parrots, etc. Moreover, the underground river Port Princess offers 8 kilometres of navigable underground canals through deep limestone caves, marble cliffs, fabulous stalactites and peerless rocky formations, which provide a unique attraction in the world, as this river is known to be the longest underground river in the planet. As if this were not enough, Palawan offers, according to locals, the best beaches in the world.
What is more, Palawan is considered one of the world´s best spots for diving, owing to the number of Japanese shipwrecks that took place there during World War II.

Palawan has recently developed an important hotel infrastructure so you will easily find the kind of accommodation that best suits your needs and preferences.

You cannot miss visiting Marine Reserve El Nido, with more than 96 thousand hectares of various ecosystems, where you will be able to find incredible examples of flora and fauna , like the famous stingrays. To complete the repertoire of natural attractions, Palawan also has the Ursula Island Game Refuge and Bird Sanctuary, where thousands of rare birds meet two hours before sunset, offering an unique natural show.
If you are fan of diving, we strongly recommend you to visit Bahia Honda, with spectacular coral reefs, islets and beaches.
On the other hand, Palawan has an interesting anthropological side, thanks to the Tabon Caves, where Tabon man´s remains have been discovered, dating back to 22.000 years ago.

You can fly or take a ferry from Manila, and the best time to visit Palawan is from March to June.

Ko Phi Phi is 40 km from Krabi, on the southwest coast of Thailand. It is a group of small islands standing out of the striking torquoise sea. Phi Phi Don is the largest of these islands and the only one which has a permanent population.

On the other hand, Phi Phi Leh is unhinhabited, though it receives hundreds of tourists every year. The other islands are small limestone formations that are well worth visiting, too. Phi Phi Don is divided into two sections by a small isthmus and holds the best beaches in Thailand. Each of these sections has its own moments of magic either in the morning or in the afternoon, depending on the daily movement of tides.
The beaches here are extremely beautiful, with green mountains around and cliffs falling into the sea water, offering unparalleled views. The islands belong to the Marine National Park, which is responsible for protecting them from the excessive development they have been suffering from. Luckily, this project has been carried out successfully though not ideally.

Accommodation in Ko Phi Phi is based mainly on inns or small hotels that offer tourists the basic facilities to have a pleasant stay.

As the island is quite big and there are no cars, you can take a water taxi to avoid the effort of long walks in the sun.
There area lot of activities to do on the island, like climbing, kayaking, fishing, snorkelling with sharks, and visiting the Viking Cave or the amazing Maya Beach where the famous film "The Beach" - starring Leonardo Di Caprio - was shot.
Maya Beach is only a- few-minute -boat ride from Phi Phi and is generally visited as part of a tour of different nearby places that are also worth visiting. In Phi Phi Leh you can hire a guide to discover the striking native fauna.

It is ideal to visit the island between November and April to avoid the rainy season. You can get there by ferry from Phuket or Krabi.
